My Jerusalem
"My Jerusalem" is an interactive story about people of different faiths living together. When I worked on this piece, I saw a slight hope. Everyone in the story wanted to live peacefully with their neighbors, and it was moving to see Jewish and Muslim people living normal lives in Jerusalem.
This project required major cross-border collaboration.
The Team: The AP bureau was in Tel Aviv, the interviewees were in Jerusalem, and I was in New York putting the interactive package together.
The Challenge: Some interviews had video, but others only had audio. I had to request new footage and "pickups" to make sure everything looked consistent.
A Personal Note: Back then, Jerusalem was known to be a safe place. With the recent developments, I often worry if the people in these stories are surviving. I wonder if it would ever be possible to tell a story like this in Jerusalem again.
